Full steam ahead for norelem at Railtex Exhibition
Published: 18 April 2017 - Sarah Mead
This year’s Railtex Exhibition, which will take place at the NEC, Birmingham, between May 9-11, will be marked by the launch of the new 5-axis clamping fixture from norelem.
Designed specifically with the rail supply chain market in mind, the latest addition to norelem’s comprehensive 33,000-strong range of standard parts is a flexible workholding device well suited to small, medium, and complex workpieces. It provides a positive down effect on both jaw plates, very high tractive force and rigidity, and a clamping width of up to 320mm. Freely extendable, it provides excellent tool accessibility which in turn, increases tool service life. As a result, engineers can achieve more accurate tolerances and surfaces using shorter tools.
In what is shaping up to be a busy 2017 for the manufacturer and supplier of standard components, Railtex 2017 will also see norelem showcase its extensive range of standard components for the rail market, as it gives away copies of THE BIG GREEN BOOK, the complete reference guide for design engineers.
Marcus Schneck, CEO of norelem, commented: “For us, Railtex is the most important rail-focused exhibition of the events calendar, and has been thriving for the last 20 years. Our solutions are widely used within the rail sector and we see this as a valuable opportunity for us to showcase the value of our range and how it can be used to achieve greater efficiencies throughout the rail supply chain.”
