Magnet Schultz Ltd (MSL), the UK’s leading authority on electric actuators and solenoid subassemblies, is expanding its specialist design engineering base and welcomes Lewis Sheldrake to its development team. Hejoins in the newly-created post of Junior Design Engineer directly from his degree course at Brunel University.
In looking to extend the capability and capacity of its in-house electromechanical design service, MSL is recruiting new talent to its ranks. Lewis Sheldrake joins the company having completed his B.Eng. course in Mechanical Engineering with Automotive Design at Brunel, and an F.Sc in Automotive Engineering at Somerset College. It is his first professional design role in industry.
The primary responsibility of the post is the design of new products and the refinement of existing MSL products across the company’s solenoid actuator range – both at component and subassembly level. Based at the MSL headquarters in Old Woking, Surrey, Lewis will also take on a valuable support role in the development of processes and practices.
“We are offering a broader range of electromechanical and system-level engineering design services to our customers and need to add to the capacity of the bespoke product design services we already provide as outsource partners,” explains MSL Technical Manager Robert Sam. “Having Lewis on board with his up-to-date expertise in the latest design practices and technology solutions will help streamline our delivery. We are delighted to welcome him to the team.”
