Spelsberg UK, the largest ex-stock supplier of non-metallic electrical enclosures in the UK, has announced the appointment of Chris Smith as Area Sales Manager for the South West region. The appointment has been made as Spelsberg continues to grow its business in the UK; supporting OEM's, installers and designers with a large range of high quality standard solutions and a complete customisation and installation service. Chris joins the team with a decade of experience in business development and technical product support in the electrical industry.
Chris previously worked for a large manufacturer and supplier of electrical accessories, lighting and audio controls, where he gained a high level of technical knowledge and insight into the electrical industry. As part of his role he offered expert product support to customers, helping to specify bespoke solutions for their applications.
Chris comments: "I believe that success in our industry is won through building partnerships with customers based on a simple philosophy of quality, flexibility and reliability. I want to offer a quality solution from a product range which offers the flexibility to ensure I have what the customer really needs; then I want to make sure I can reliably deliver the order on time and to specification.
"Spelsberg UK is an extremely well respected brand, one with a massive range and a wealth of value added services which offer the kind of flexibility I believe the industry demands. I'm looking forward to joining the team and helping to develop our partnerships with existing customers as well as reaching out to new contacts, particularly in the wholesale market. In particular, I'm looking forward to working with end-users to help them specify solutions they didn't realise were possible."
Spelsberg Managing Director, Chris Lloyd, adds: "We've appointed Chris to meet the growing needs of our customers in the South West. His technical knowledge will allow him to develop our existing partnerships with OEMs and installers, while his understanding of the wholesales and contractor market will help us to open new doors."
