EMC testing lab opens in Japan

Inspection, verification, testing and certification company, SGS, has formally opened a new electrical and electronic product testing laboratory in Yokohama, Japan.
The facility is equipped to provide a comprehensive range of services covering safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), wireless and chemical testing.
The opening of this new 375 square metre laboratory represents a significant expansion in SGS’s local ability to provide a one-stop facility for the testing of medical devices, IT equipment, industrial equipment and consumer electrics.
Through this expansion in capabilities, the Yokohama facility now offers:
Testing and reporting services
Technical meeting services for CE, NERL and other international regulations
Factory inspection services
This broad range of testing capabilities is accredited against:
ISO/IEC 17025 by IAS (ILAC mark)
CBTL by SGS CEBEC for CB Scheme
NRTL testing laboratory by SGS US for OSHA
Diamond PSE and JET-S mark through JET
