Manufacturer of materials handling equipment, Wilmat, has completed of one of its largest ever orders for 30 of its ‘Bulldog’ Powered Pedestrian Counterbalance Trucks. The order was turned around in just 12 weeks to save the end user 10s of thousands of pounds.
Teresa Hands, MD at Wilmat, explains: “The order was placed by a trade customer on condition that the trucks could be made quickly as their client, a leading wholesale retail chain, had recently invested in a new fleet of lorries and their existing equipment was not compatible.
“This incompatibility had disrupted the unloading of goods at the stores, incurring significant additional costs.”
The Bulldog PDCB5 truck is one of the most compact 500kg trucks and can be operated inside the lorry containers, reducing the time taken to unload goods at the client’s 29 stores across the UK.
Hands says the truck is one of the company’s best sellers, with more than 500 delivered to a wide range of customers over the past 10 years. “For its size, the Bulldog packs a punch with its robust construction and many innovative features available, such as electronic steering, tilt operation and electronic breaking,” Hands continues. “It is also very flexible, with lift heights ranging from 840mm to 4,660mm and capacities 300kg to 2,500kg, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.”
