Fume extraction cabinets channel low dust emissions from workstation

Flextraction, supplier and manufacturer of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) has launched a new range of Fume Extraction Cabinets (FEC) for use by companies, where operatives are exposed to low dust emissions and small quantities of solvents, paints and chemicals used in their product manufacturing processes. They can also be used for weighing operations.
The complete range comprises six different models, FEC 350, FEC 500, FEC 600, FEC HD, FEC LD and FEC SD and each model is manufactured from strong and durable extruded aluminium profiles in a corrosion protected anodised natural finish with clear polycarbonate infill panels. They are supplied fully assembled with the spigot location normally at the rear of each cabinet, but can also be located elsewhere on the cabinet along with the spigot size to suit the customer.
All six models can be manufactured in a size to suit an individual customer’s application and requirement. The FEC 350, FEC 500 and FEC 600 are supplied with an open frontal face access ranging from 350mm x 230mm to 600mm x 325mm depending on the model and are designed to be connected to separate fans or mobile filters with varying airflow velocities .
The FEC HD, FEC SD and FEC LD all have a hinged door to provide an open frontal access. The standard FED HD measures 800mm (length) x 750mm (width) x 600mm (height) with a hinged door providing a working access measuring 720mm x 560mm when open. The FEC SD and FEC LD models are two angular cabinets which can be designed and manufactured to suit the application.
Lee Darton, Flextraction’s MD says: “We have designed this FEC range to suit a diverse range of applications hence all the formats in size, positioning of spigot and shape that are available. Our designers have taken into consideration that intricate work may be carried out under these cabinets, so the design allows the operator to have maximum viewing capabilities.”
