Prize winning bending cell

The innovative and cost saving TruBend Cell 7000 from Trumpf; short-listed in the recent MWP Advanced Manufacturing Awards, has been confirmed as the winner of Austria’s 2012 Innovation Prize.
The TruBend Cell 7000 is a fully automatic brake press cell, said to be the fastest system in the world for bending small components. It can even work small batches efficiently, boosting productivity by as much as 300 per cent whilst reducing energy cost by 65 per cent.
Presented by the Austrian Government, The Austrian Innovation Prize is the country’s highest recognition for innovative achievement.
UK manufacturers will have the opportunity to see this award winner in action at the Trumpf In-Tech 2012 open house at the company’s Technology Centre in Luton in November.
