Ballyclare highlights workwear at Railtex

Published: 13 June 2017 - Victoria White

Visitors to this year’s Railtex exhibition in Birmingham had an opportunity to find out more about the extensive range of protective workwear garments which Ballyclare provides to the rail industry.

The range of RIS-3279-TOM rail-compliant orange high visibility workwear attracted great interest on the Ballyclare stand, as Maggie Shaw, Ballyclare’s key account manager for the rail industry, explained: “Last year we won a large contract to supply Network Rail and the range of garments we had on display was the result of that success. The range covers hi vis waterproof, flame retardant and arc protection outer garments, including jackets, coveralls, salopettes and trousers. The female fit garments we had on display proved to be especially popular, along with the fact all the garments can be industrially cleaned and maintained which extends their operating life and maximises the value of the customer’s investment.”

Also present on the Ballyclare stand were examples of the company’s brand new range of general polycotton workwear. Maggie continued: “Our message to visitors was that we are a very experienced rail industry supplier. We have a comprehensive selection to offer, so no matter what someone’s role may be, we have the garments they need to keep them covered. These garments have many different applications across the rail industry and they are already proving to be popular with customers,” adds Maggie. “The range contains various garments in female fit, which further extends the potential it offers.”

Visitors to the Ballyclare stand were also given the opportunity to take the Ballyclare Shower Challenge, with a Fitbit prize waiting for the lucky winner..
