Customised enclosures

According to Steve Gallon, MD of Fibox, the customisation of enclosures is a growing issue. To meet customer requirements, the company generally uses housings from the standard range to minimise costs, but under certain criteria will design and manufacture a bespoke enclosure to exact specification. As a result of its enclosures, the company is helping manufacturing industries to provide everything from micro electronics to much larger control and instrumentation solutions in the most arduous and hostile of environments, with the enclosures withstanding a range of environmental conditions.
Now, however, the company has introduced new software which enables its customers to download CAD drawings and design in-house a fully customised enclosure solution. Fibox can then, in a matter of minutes, provide a fully itemised quotation and arrange prototypes.
