Protecting in potentially corrosive areas

Designed to provide long-life protection for electronics or electrical equipment in potentially corrosive environments, Schroff’s new ULTRX range of fibreglass wall-mount enclosures are available in nine sizes from 513 x 413 x 228mm to 1025 x 825 x 329mm.
Manufactured by sister company Hoffman, these are fabricated from compression-moulded fibreglass material, offering excellent temperature, chemical and impact resistance, with a seamless foam-in-place gasket to ensure an IP66-rated water-tight and dust-tight seal.
These can be turned through 180° to allow either left or right hinging, and are available with solid doors or an impact-resistant polycarbonate window. The hinge design allows an opening angle of up to 270°, and the doors also incorporate a stainless steel quarter-turn latch. Moulded-in bosses and integral mounting rails are provided for attaching internal panels.
The enclosures have a number of international approvals, including UL 508A, CSA C22.2 No. 94, and NEMA Types 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and also meet NEMA Type 3RX requirements.
