High-capacity DC disconnect switch

E-T-A Circuit Breakers, designer and manufacturer of a broad range of electro-mechanical and electronic products for circuit protection, has introduced a new high-capacity DC disconnect switch providing physical isolation for up to 1500V DC in a compact design.
Originally developed for photovoltaic systems, to be fitted between solar power modules and the power inverter, the double pole E-T-A DC Disconnect switch can also be used in many other DC circuit protection applications including ungrounded systems. Measuring 99mm x 90mm x 92.5mm, the enclosure is DIN-rail mountable, ideally suited for installation in distribution enclosures. The hybrid technology requires no external power supply, allows reliable disconnection in the event of low currents and ensures a low-wear contact system.
