Focus on smart, digital automation technologies

At this year’s Hannover Messe, KEB Automation will showcase its full range of automation solutions from drive controllers to HMI screens, including motion control up to CNC level, safety systems with FsoE (Failsafe over EtherCAT) and visualisation.
The focus of the KEB Automation stand will be on smart, digital automation technologies including: connectivity and cloud services; CNC solutions; integrated safety; and the company’s latest COMBIVERT F6 and S6 drive controllers.
The new COMBIVERT F6 range of drive controllers from KEB Automation are high performance single-axis drive controllers that are compact, energy efficient and flexible for a wide variety of control applications in automated, safety-oriented machines. The drives provide optimal motor control in real time, as well as integrated safety functionality.
The drive controllers are designed and built in-house by KEB Automation. The drives are available in seven different enclosure sizes and available power ranges are from 4kW up to 400kW, with higher power ranges being released soon. The drives are air- or liquid-cooled (integral or push-through mounting) and can be customised with a variety of design options to suit the specific application. Safety functionality can be selected in modules to suit the requirements of the machine.
Compact, flexible and powerful, the COMBIVERT S6 is suitable for a wide range of highly dynamic servo applications, including highly automated, safety-oriented machines. The drives provide optimal motor control in real time, integrated safety functionality and are designed in a compact, space-saving book-style format for easier mounting in control cabinets where space can be limited.
The S6 can also be matched with KEB’s DL3 range of robust servo motors, which can also be paired with KEB planetary gearheads with low rotational backlash. A range of accessories are also available for the S6, including mains chokes, EMC filters and braking resistors, as well as pre-fabricated motor and encoder cables.
