First smart warehouse of its kind in Europe with Gamma Illumination

Philips OEM wireless high bay system has created the first smart warehouse of its kind in Europe with Gamma Illumination.

Philips Lighting OEM, working with Gamma Illumination created a solution to light a warehouse efficiently with a high output luminaire with good light distribution. The solution also needed to be flexible and easy to control. By incorporating a Philips Xitanium SR driver, Philips Fortimo LED line and Philips EasyAir industrial sensor into each luminaire, the solution eliminated the need for additional control wiring.

The warehouse is part of an £8 million development project which also includes offices, production facilities, car park and landscape gardens. Gamma Illumination is a UK designer and manufacturer of low energy lighting solutions. Gamma Illumination was keen for the lighting in the warehouse and interiors to be innovative as well as aesthetically pleasing.

Sensor ready (SR) drivers are at the centre of the smart lighting system. The standard connection between driver and sensor eliminates the need for separate components or modules and ensures compatibility. The drivers also feature energy metering for accurate data on energy consumption. The Philips TrustSight emergency system is also incorporated.
