Growth for Wakefield Acoustics as staff numbers rise

One of the UK’s leading manufacturers of advanced industrial, commercial and environmental noise control systems, Wakefield Acoustics, has been boosted by growth after increasing staff numbers by nearly 50 per cent during the last 12 months.
In just one year, Wakefield Acoustics has grown to a team of 61, appointing 20 new staff members across the company in the last 12 months by continuing to successfully grow its business across a number of key business sectors.
The newly appointed staff include skilled and semi-skilled sheet metal workers and fabricators, solidworks engineers, laser programmers, as well as project and site staff.
During the last 12 months activity increased in core markets of oil and gas, power generation and combined heat and power (CHP) and construction. The company completed several high-profile schemes across the UK and internationally including phase 2 of Johan Sverdrup Oil Field in Norway, Upper Zachum Oil Field in the Middle East, Creyke Beck Power Station in the UK and Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
The company, which also supplies advanced noise control systems to the commercial, petrochemical, waste management, food and drink, industrial and water and wastewater treatment sectors, has continued to see significant demand for its solutions from global organisations.
Wakefield Acoustics can boast a rapidly expanding client base, including several established UK commercial enterprises, internationally-renowned universities, leading UK water and waste water treatment plants as well as a number of global manufacturers.
