Energy management and software specialist to host RISK Day

Energy management and software specialist, ZTP, has announced that as part of its partnership with the MEUC (Major Energy Users’ Council) it will host a one-day training session, which will provide an in-depth look into commodity price risk, hedging strategies, trading, UK/European market links and best practice approaches to enabling a successful overall strategy.
The RISK Day will take place on Wednesday 11 September 2019 at the Hilton Metropole, NEC, Birmingham.
The free to attend training day is aimed at MEUC members, but ZTP is extending a special invitation to non-members, for example, those responsible for energy management and procurement, to attend this masterclass on RISK and best practice.
As an educational session, the RISK Day which will be delivered by the ZTP team aims to:
Develop an understanding of commodity price risk and how to carry out basic calculations
Learn about more in depth analysis carried out by ZTP in partnership with the University of Kent, whilst producing advanced risk modelling for commodity pricing in the UK gas and power market
View the links between UK and European markets
Understand/view the results of different hedging strategies against a ‘let it ride’ strategy over an historical period
Discuss best practice for getting all stakeholders involved with energy purchasing and management to enable a successful overall strategy
Produce an information document detailing key areas from the day
