Marcel Pal, co-founder and CEO of Brewie, has announced that the world’s first automated home brewery will come back to Indiegogo on October 21st 2015. The first campaign was successfully funded in February 2015 and collected over $220,000 for the development and the production of the machine.
The World’s First Fully Automated Home Brewing Machine
Brewie was based on a very straightforward wish: What if you simply had to push a button to make any type of craft beer in your own home? After more than two years of development, one successful crowdfunding campaign and countless tests, you now can.
Brewie, developed in Budapest, fully automates the entire brewing process. One can select from a menu of over 200 pre-installed beer recipes or even develop their own brewing process in order to create the perfect beer. To enable the largest possible variety of selectable beers, Brewie can adjust 23 distinct parameters during the entire brewing process.
In order to finance the development and the production of Brewie, the team launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo in December 2014. The campaign reached its $100,000 goal within nine days, and after two months the campaign had collected more than 150 pre-orders. Now Brewie is ready to go for the next step - InDemand.
Brewie is coming to Indiegogo’s InDemand
Since the successful funding of the Indiegogo campaign in February 2015, the Brewie team has worked more than 5,400 hours on improving the machine's design, functionality, durability and usability. Many interested backers missed the opportunity to pre-order Brewie, so we started collecting pre-order sign-ups immediately after the campaign had ended. Now, there are more than 2,000 future backers waiting for Brewie to go live again.
The InDemand campaign, which gives backers the option to pre-order Brewie including more exciting features, launches today, October 21st 2015 at 6 p.m. CEST (12 p.m. EST; 9 a.m. PST) and will be the last chance to secure Brewie at the current price of $1,599. The final retail price will be between $2,000 and $2,200 depending on manufacturing details. The first machines pre-ordered through the InDemand campaign will ship in March 2016.
